Log runs, walks, and rides with distance and pace
ShrunkShank Movement now records time to the second, optional distance in kilometres, and works out your pace — and a run inside a gym workout links straight to Movement so it counts as cardio.
Movement is where ShrunkShank keeps everything that is not a gym session: walks, runs, rides, sport, and anything else that gets you moving. Until now it recorded whole minutes and nothing more. That was fine for a dog walk, but not for a 5 km run where the seconds matter.
Duration is now minutes and seconds. Type 38:31 and that is what gets saved, not 39. If you would rather not do the maths, press Start when you set off and End when you finish, and the live timer fills in the exact time. Typing a duration by hand still works.
Walks, runs, and rides can also take a distance in kilometres. Sport and other activities do not ask for one, because a distance on a football match or a yoga class does not mean much.
With a time and a distance, ShrunkShank works out your pace. Walks and runs show minutes per kilometre, the way runners talk about it. Rides show speed in kilometres per hour, the way cyclists do. An entry reads at a glance, for example 38:31 · 6 km · 6:25 /km. Distance is optional: leave it blank and the entry simply shows the time.
Plenty of people finish a gym session with a treadmill run or a bike sprint, and log it as an exercise in the workout. That time used to stay inside the workout, so it did not count as cardio on the day log or for a coach. Now a run, walk, or ride in a workout shows a short note with Log it in Movement. Tap it and Movement opens with the type and the time already filled in from the sets you finished. Add the distance if you have it, and save.
ShrunkShank picks the type from the exercise name. Treadmill Run is a run, Incline Treadmill Walk is a walk, and Spin Bike is a ride. Gym sessions themselves still live under Workouts; Movement is for the cardio.
Movement entries show up in the Day log next to food, workouts, and check-ins, and Quick log can add one from anywhere. If you have a coach and you share movement with them, they see each entry, with its distance and pace, on your page under Logs. Each entry has its own Shared or Private toggle if there is one you would rather keep to yourself.
Open Movement from Workouts or the Day log, log your next run with its distance, and see your pace come up. Movement is free for everyone during the pilot.
